Number of Individuals participating in Medication-Assisted Treatment.

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies for the treatment of substance use disorders.

According to the latest survey of opioid treatment providers more than 300,000 people received some form of Medication-Assisted Treatment(MAT) for an opioid use disorder in 2011.[1]

% of People in MAT who are in Optimized MAT Optimized MAT would include DNA testing to allow for precision MAT and includes a significant element of whole person care.
% of People who start treatment programs who drop out without achieving sustained recovery. If treatment programs have high dropout rates, then the community must make it a priority to take steps to improve the program and increase retention and success rates.
Number of People in recovery who have relapsed

While a relapse does not necessarily mean that treatment has failed, relapse rates is a lagging indicator that may demonstrate the comprehensiveness of supports in the community
